An astonishing vintage opal ring, dating to circa the 1990s, featuring a spectacular Australian black opal from Lightning Ridge. The exceptional opal displays vivid rainbow colour play, with intense flashes of red, orange, purple, blue and green. Surrounding the opal is an extravagant double diamond halo, set with highly sparkling diamonds of F–G colour and VS clarity.

The entire ring is crafted in palladium, a rare, naturally white precious metal from the Platinum Group. Despite its substantial, statement-making appearance, the ring remains surprisingly light and comfortable to wear, thanks to palladium’s lower density compared with platinum. Palladium combines the durability and naturally white appearance prized in platinum with the advantage of being significantly lighter, making it particularly well suited to a substantial statement ring. Its naturally white colour also means it does not require rhodium plating.
